Role of the PTA

The PTA may provide suggestions and recommendations concerning the welfare, development and improvement of the school. At the same time, it was clarified that final decisions concerning school matters will remain with the school management.
This understanding will help maintain a constructive and cooperative relationship between parents and the school.
PTA Participation in School Events

The members discussed the need for better coordination and meaningful participation of parents during such events.

The collection and management of PTA fees was another important topic discussed during the meeting.
It was suggested that PTA fees be collected annually and maintained in a separate PTA account, under the responsibility of the Treasurer.
The committee also discussed consideration for families having more than two children studying in the school, whereby PTA fees may be collected for one child only.
An annual PTA contribution of ₹500 per student was suggested.

School decorations
Competitions
Other approved student and school activities
Any utilisation of the funds would be undertaken with the approval of the PTA and school management.
Parent Participation in Competitions

The members felt that allowing parents to observe such activities could help create greater awareness about the children's participation, talents and achievements and strengthen parent-school engagement.
Star Award of the Month
The committee also discussed a matter concerning the Star Award of the Month, along with a health-related concern raised by Mrs. Meusie.
Tr. Rose was called upon to provide the necessary clarification regarding the matter.

Fruits – 2 days
The members further suggested avoiding pastries and chocolates and encouraging homemade and nutritious food options for students.
The discussion reflected the PTA's concern about promoting healthy eating habits among children.

Annual Gathering
